Michele is a pediatric physical therapist, certified lactation counselor, and Founder of Ladybug Pediatric Therapy and Wellness. She holds a BA from the University of North Carolina, and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia. She has over 25 year’s experience working with infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of neuromuscular, genetic, orthopedic and developmental special needs. Michele recently moved from Austin, Texas where she worked in home based and outpatient pediatric practices including Easter Seals of Central TX, Big Sky Pediatric Therapy, and Year One Wellness. She was grateful to have the opportunity to work in the field of lactation informed infant physical therapy and earned her Certified Lactation Counselor accreditation in 2024. Michele received skilled mentoring in this field and worked collaboratively with OT, SLP, IBCLC, chiropractors, pediatricians, and dentists. At Ladybug PT Michele specializes in working with infants from birth to 2 years who are experiencing delays in attainment of motor milestones, plagiocephaly (head flattening), torticollis, infant body tension, low muscle tone, oral feeding challenges at breast and bottle, prematurity and other issues. Michele has a passion for helping babies and parents navigate the often difficult first few months and wants every parent to feel supported and confident in this special time. As babies grow into toddlers, Michele loves to guide them and their parents with creative ways to strengthen and work on therapy in a fun atmosphere. When she has time off, Michele plays with her Pug and Boston Terrier, travels to Santa Fe, NC, or NYC to visit her adult kids, and loves to hike, take walks and swim.

How It Began

Ladybug Physical Therapy was founded when Michele moved from Austin, Texas to Buffalo, NY in 2025. Michele's passion for working with infants and their caregivers motivated her to start her own practice where she can give parents and babies the time and attention they deserve to problem solve together and come up with realistic home based plans to make the postpartum and first year more fun for everyone.  She believes this time together is so special and there are so many ways to connect and bond with your baby. She loves to provide parents with creative ideas for maximizing movement, decrease stress during feeding, and prevent the effects of ongoing body tension and potential head flattening due to torticollis.
